Empowering Professionals

Empowering communities raising our children

Offering a range of professional services to inspire, refresh and further your knowledge. Free consultations, mentoring and supervision, training workshops, presenting and advocacy work. Led by passion and a belief that in lifting others we all rise.

It trully "takes a village", let's build the foundations together.

Consulting

Connecting you with the tools and resources you need. Are you an education, medical or allied health professional? Have you considered phone or email consultations with a specialised infant feeding therapist to support your own clients? I have consulted on cases helping you find appropriate supports and resources in your part of NZ. Have you used the Feeding Matters feeding questionnaire with your families? Find it here

Mentoring

Are you a new graduate? An SLT looking for dysphagia and paediatric feeding supervision? Are you a professional transitioning across work environments and specialties? Read more about me here and see if you feel we are the right fit together. Choosing a mentor is a very personal decision. Get in touch with any questions you may have.

Training

Individualised to your current education and professional development need. For example, are you an Early Childhood Centre? We could workshop fostering positive feeding experiences in your centre, increasing staff awareness of pressure at mealtimes, provide ideas for staff to implement around mealtime routines to ease transitions and brainstorm supportive feeding strategies for child wellbeing, efficient feeding and developmentally appropriate care.

Presenting

Suitable for education, healthcare and general public settings. Delivering evidence based information, from discussing pillars of aspiration pneumonia, importance of early and thorough oral healthcare to responsive feeding and communication practices. I have information to share, let's discuss your needs and go from there. A recent oral aversion presentation was tailored to support NZs Breastfeeding Medicine Specialist's Peer Support Group. What do you need?

Advocacy

These are passion projects born from the realisation of gaps and inequities in the SLT sector. From curating space for private SLT practitioners to gather online and share collective knowledge, to looking at private SLT access in NZ and barriers to this. If you would like to keep up to date on these and other topics including tips and resources, register your interest here.

You are reaching me at a time where we can tailor services to your specific needs.
